Foot Solutions Elite Running Team member Tamrat Ayalew, of Atlanta and originally from Ethiopia, wins the 32nd Marine Corps Marathon in Arlington, Va. on Sunday, October 28, 2007.  Ayalew’s time was 02:22:18.

When race officials asked the elite runners to move to the front before the start of the Holualoa Tucson Marathon, only Gideon Talam of Kenya stepped forward. “So we all knew that guy’s going to win,” runner Sam Van Volkenburgh said.  Talam, a 32-year-old who has lived in the United States since July, jumped out to a significant lead early and coasted to victory in 2 hours 24 minutes 59 seconds in his first Tucson Marathon…. After winning Sunday’s 30th Detroit Free Press/Flagstar women’s marathon, Ukrainian (and Foot Solutions Elite Running Team member) Anzhelika Averkova, 38, can cross a few things off her to-do list. “She now can tell everybody, ‘I’ve been to Canada for a couple of minutes,’ ” Averkova said through an interpreter. Averkova had never been to Detroit before this weekend, but she felt comfortable running the course.  She finished in 2:34:50 to win the $5,000 cash prize.

Foot Solutions Elite Running Team member Tatiana Belovol wins United Technologies Greater Hartford Marathon in Hartford, Connecticut.  She completed the race with a time of 2:42:19.

Men’s team placed first in the overall open team division and the Women’s team broke the open team division record. Elite Running Team member Firaya Zhdanova broke the Master (over 40) record.  She also won the overall female title.  Elite Running Team  member Tatyana Pozdnyakova broke the Grandmaster record.
